Monothematic
Publication
A publication designed based off the themes of an academic text, evoking the feelings that the text conveys.

Background
From a choice of academic texts, we were to design a complex and expressive publication which explores and expresses the themes of the text.
I chose ‘On being affected: feeling in the folding of multiple catastrophes’ written by Andrew Murphie (2017). You can read the full text via ResearchGate here.
The brief allowed for us to incorporate the use of copyright free images, or those sourced from Adobe Stock. We were able to use two typefaces, and the publication was able to be any format, provided it utilises the equivalent space of a single sheet of A0 paper in its construction. I chose a non-standard size for my publication which fit this criteria.
